This summer marked the fourth backpacking expedition of the Harvey and Kohler families. This was the first time, though, for the youngest Harvey and Kohler to join the group (Peyton and Aubrey). The expedition traveled to Steens Mountain, Oregon for hiking.
Highlights included making marshmallow pie (because the bag of marshmallows had melted), eight different stream crossings, sleeping on tarps instead of in tents, and all the kids taking turns driving the trucks on the Alvord Desert--including Aubrey and Peyton!
The Harveys who attended were Brandon, Garrett, Peyton, and Lizzie (their dog). All of the Kohlers attended except me. I opted for three peaceful days of having a clean house all to myself. ;)
