We took a week's vacation to Oregon this summer. Our first stop was Springfield. It was a special treat to be there for Father's Day and we took the opportunity to take some family photos.
From Springfield we drove to the coast and spent a couple of days there. The weather was great and we enjoyed lots of time on the beach. The kids played in the water, searched the tide pools, and collected shells. We went to Yachats, Cape Perpetua, and the sand dunes near Florence.
We also made a day trip to Wildlife Safari, near Roseburg. We saw all kinds of wild life. Most of the animals were roaming free around the park, although a few species were behind fences (like the tigers and bears). Our favorite part was driving through the area where you can feed the animals (from inside your car, of course).
After Wildlife Safari we made a stop in Roseburg and checked out Jeff's old house and grade school, Hucrest Elementary.
The end of our trip was spent in Portland for Tanner and Megan's wedding.
