We made a memorable trip to San Francisco in August. This was the first time for Seth and Aubrey to fly on an airplane, and the first time Dallin was old enough to remember it. Seth especially thought flying was the best. We rented a car and spent four days driving all around San Francisco and the Bay area. We also spent PLENTY of time walking. Seth kept track of how many miles we covered and it totaled over 35 miles.
The first thing we did was go to an Oakland A's game. The Giants were not in town the week we were there, so we learned how to ride BART across the Bay to Oakland.
Exploring the city at Golden Gate Heights ...
We visited Golden Gate Park and went to the de Young art museum and the California Academy of Sciences.
A memorable stop was the Golden Gate Bridge. We hiked all the way across the bridge and back. It was a LONG walk!
We also took a boat cruise in the bay. We saw dolphins, sea lions on the pier, and circled around Alcatraz. It was one of my favorite activities on our trip.

We couldn't go to a game at AT&T Park to see the Giants play, but Seth wanted to explore all around the stadium.
