The Boise area had 99.5% totality for the solar eclipse. Almost all of the sun was blocked out, except for a very tiny sliver. But it's amazing how powerful the sun is because even with almost all of it blocked by the moon, there was still light. My phone was not able to take a very good photo of the eclipse. It did get darker and the temperature dropped a few degrees. The light was very strange, almost surreal. I felt like we were sitting in a stadium with the stadium lights on. It was certainly an interesting diversion for the day. The kids even got Nutmeg involved in the action.
