His second semester at BYU, Dallin worked at the Bean Museum as a museum educator. He had the opportunity to give live animal shows to museum patrons and school groups. When we were in town for Tessa's graduation we were able to watch Dallin's last show. He really loved giving these shows, and especially handling the animals. His favorite animals were Cuddles the ball python and Simon the red tegu. He initially didn't like to handle the tarantulas and cockroaches, but he even got over his fear of these invertebrates. He enjoyed working at the Bean Museum so much, I started to worry he was going to drop out of school to work there full time, but fortunately museum educators don't make too much money, so I think he'll finish his degree. After his mission he hopes to work at the Bean Museum again.
