Aubrey's robotics team, "The Return of Girlz Got Skillz" had a strong showing at the state competition in Twin Falls. They took home two 2nd place trophies--the "Innovative Solution Award" and the "Robot Performance Award." There were approximately 45 teams competing in the "Into Orbit" space theme. In addition to building a robot to perform space related tasks, the girls researched a real-world problem related to space--how to help astronauts deal with extended periods in space away from their families. Their project earned them the 2nd place "Innovative Solution Award." Their robot performed very well in the "game" portion of the competition, performing many tasks and earning the second highest amount of points to take home the 2nd place "Robot Performance Award." Way to go, girls!!
