We had such a fun trip for our Christmas tree expedition this year. The sun was shining, the sky was a brilliant blue, and the snow was beautiful. Like other nature outings we've done this year, we saw a lot more people than usual, likely due to covid. In fact, there was a whole party going on at the area where we usually park. We could barely find a place to park Cougar Blue. Luckily, we found a spot and then commenced traipsing all over the mountains, much more than usual. But finally we found the perfect tree, which means one that Aubrey approved of. :)

the largest I've ever seen. |

We came down a similarly steep gully and then climbed this steep slope
in order to check out that group of trees. Unfortunately, none of them
passed Aubrey's rigorous quality check standards. |

This is the slope we brought the tree down. After that, Aubrey and I both
slid down the mountain multiple times, grooming a pretty good run. |
